Dave Formella, President of Formella Travel Service, Inc., has been in the travel industry for over a quarter of a century. He made his start in the car rental sector in Chicago, IL in 1977, and moved to Indiana to manage a corporate travel agency in Columbus in 1980. In 1983, he relocated to Southern California to work for Nance Travel Services in Long Beach, CA. While at Nance, he came to realize that paying attention to the littlest of details was the key to success in the travel industry. He decided that the only way to provide the best service was to establish his own travel agency, and thus, on November 6, 1994, Formella Travel Service opened for business.
In the ensuing years, Formella Travel has grown to be one of the largest corporate travel agencies in Long Beach, coordinating the travel for many prominent corporations and law firms. In addition, Formella Travel manages the travel for a significant number of racecar drivers and teams. By paying attention to the smallest of details while coordinating travel for their clients, Formella Travel has earned tremendous respect in the industry. In fact, the majority of new clients are referrals from existing clients.
A few years ago, Formella Travel expanded its expertise to include leisure travel, featuring United Vacations packages to Hawaii. Formella Travel now is one of United Vacations’ most productive agencies in Southern California.
