I finally got a chance to send you a note to express my appreciation to you and your staff for getting me out of the mess the lost tickets caused. Amanda was a real trooper, and really projected the sincere effort and concern that your customers have come to appreciate, if not take for granted.
I am a fairly easygoing person; however, I tend to be a bit anal when it comes to my travel. UPS threw me a curve and were less than helpful when I contacted them. Apparently, they don't check to see if a package has been delivered unless somebody calls in a panic. Go figure, this great computer system and nobody looks at it. They did assure me that they would know within the next 8 days if the overnight package were in fact lost. Being resourceful, they assured me that you could have e-tickets to substitute. We cleared this up shortly. Well, Friday afternoon before the holiday in a facility, that had been evacuated by everything but non-patriotic rodents, my frustrations were boiling over. There was stage two burn-off and the orbit trajectory was set.
Formella Travel to the rescue! By Saturday, I was a happy guy and Amanda called to make certain that all was well. I apologize for tearing you away from the grass skirts and tropical drinks, but I felt it important that you know that the effort was really appreciated.
Incidentally, I did clarify to UPS that I was quite clear as to how they got their nickname "BIG BROWN" and it shows.

For the past 25 years I have been actively involved in the Auto Racing Industry as both a driver and a manager. Through my experience with Roush racing and currently IndyCars there have been changes, but one constant for me has been the relationship with Dave Formella and Formella Travel.
I had the great fortune to meet Dave 20 years ago while working and living in California. Dave and I immediately shared a great respect for one another and have been doing business ever since. I have since moved to Michigan and now currently reside in Indianapolis and am still depending on Dave for the travel needs the race team and myself.
Like the racing industry my travel is quite extensive. It demands quick, but well thought out decisions and sometimes involves many, last minute changes. Through Dave I am able to get all of my options and make the best decision possible. He not only recommends and books flights, but he helps with the whole travel package: cars, hotels, etc.
Dave has always been a very helpful and reliable resource. Just a few weeks ago our team suddenly had to put together an IndyCar driver’s test half way across the country. With little time to prepare, Dave was able to take all of our needs and put together the perfect package for our team. He helped the team to get the test off without a hitch and even managed to save us some money in the mean time. Because of Dave I was able to concentrate on the Driver and the Race Car and not all of the travel logistics. With Dave, I knew everything was taken care of.
I cannot imagine trusting or depending on anyone else to do my travel the way I do Dave. Not only do I rely on him to take care of the travel for the team, but also my own personal travel with my wife. Dave knows our preferences, so booking our trip through him makes it hassle free.
Dave’s knowledge of the industry and dedication to excellence and customer service has made him an invaluable resource to me as well as the race team. His friendly personality and sense of humor only reinforce what we already know. And that is, for our travel needs we do not ever need to go anywhere else, but Formella Travel.
